Biography:
Harvey Dent, also known as Two-Face, is a tragic figure from DC Comics. He first appeared in Detective Comics #66 in August 1942.
Before his disfigurement, Dent served as the district attorney of Gotham City and was a close ally of Batman and Commissioner Gordon, fighting against organized crime. He was known as "Apollo" for his charm and good looks, and held an unwavering commitment to justice.
During a trial against mob boss Sal Maroni, Maroni threw acid at Dent, scarring the left side of his face. This event triggered a mental breakdown, leading to a split personality. Dent became the criminal Two-Face, obsessed with duality and chance. He makes all his decisions by flipping a "Fifty-Fifty" coin, one side pristine and the other scarred, reflecting his own dual nature.
As Two-Face, Dent wages a war against what he sees as a corrupt system, perpetrating crimes of chance and delivering punishments based on the flip of his coin. While sometimes displaying remnants of his former idealism, he is primarily driven by his darker half, making him a formidable and unpredictable adversary.
